Traditional sounds of the afro – indigenous native Colombians are played by this band with handmade wooden drums and percussion by Gregorio and Rafa, the warm strings of Camilo’s guitar and dance choreographies from Nadja and Veronica, the female members of the band. Whilst powerful rhythms are drummed along, chants by Veronica and Camilo are harmonized and sang over and over again in order to get the audience to sing and dance along.

Cumbe, this 5 member piece band from different parts of Colombia has a sole purpose of bringing people together, in an attempt to evoke the warmth, power and simplicity of traditional Colombian music to the eclectic city of London.
