Danny Ramirez aka Kid Afrika passed away on 8th February 2012. As I said on an earlier post I had the pleasure of seeing Danny Ramirez perform Machaka live as Kid Afrika at the Cuba Solidarity Campaign Tent at the Rise Festival in Finsbury Park.
The Latino community as come together in a show of solidarity for this fundraising event to remember Danny but also to help with the financial cost of repatriating him back to Havana, Cuba. This event at the El Peñol Club is a Celebration of Danny’s Life supported by the Latino community in the UK as well as his musician friends, dj’s, dancers, Live Band’s, Salsa, Reggaeton, Rumba, Timba Cubana and more…
